Connect your Google account
Sign in with Google. Ovoform asks only for access to files it creates or that you pick, not your whole Drive.

Pick or create a spreadsheet
Choose a spreadsheet with Google's file picker, or let Ovoform create a new one for the form.

Publish the form
Ovoform sets up the tab and its header row. Submit a test response and check that the row arrives.

Filter, chart and share the sheet as usual. New responses keep arriving as new rows.

Google Forms also sends answers to Sheets, so the sheet side will feel familiar. What changes is the form. Ovoform adds conditional logic, scoring, payments, AI-generated forms, your own branding and a design that does not look like a default template. Responses are unlimited on every plan, including Free.

What syncs, and what to know
Each completed response is queued after it is saved and appended to the sheet shortly afterwards, so respondents never wait on Google. If a write fails, Ovoform retries twice, roughly one and three minutes later, and Ovoform guards against writing the same response twice when it retries. Values are written as plain text, with HTML stripped, and file-upload answers appear as their links, separated by commas.
Columns are managed automatically and there is no manual mapping screen. Add a question and a column is added at the right, rename a question and its header is updated, and delete a question and its column is simply left blank. Reordering questions in Ovoform does not move existing columns. If you change a question's type, Ovoform starts a new column for it.
The connection is append-only. Editing a response in Ovoform, or a row in the sheet, does not update the other side. Ovoform writes rows by column position, so avoid deleting or reordering columns in the sheet. Do your calculations on a separate tab that reads from the response tab. Give each form a distinct title, because two forms with the same title would share one tab.
If something goes wrong, the integration shows an error status in Ovoform, and the respondent still sees your normal thank-you screen. A revoked Google authorization, or a spreadsheet that has been deleted or is no longer available to the connected account, stops syncing until you fix it, and responses that did not arrive can be sent again with a resync.

Each completed submission is queued and appended as a row shortly after it arrives, rather than waiting for a scheduled batch. There is no fixed latency guarantee, and a failed write is retried twice before the integration is flagged. You can resync any responses that did not make it.
Yes. Ovoform creates or reuses a tab named after each form inside the spreadsheet you choose, so several forms can share one file. Give each form a distinct title, since two forms with the same title would end up writing to the same tab.
No. The connection only adds new rows. Editing a response in Ovoform or a cell in the sheet does not change the other. If you need corrections, make them in the sheet, on the understanding that the original response in Ovoform keeps its original answer.
Columns are mapped for you. The first two are the submission ID and submission time, then there is one column per question. New questions add a column, renamed questions update the header, and deleted questions leave their column blank. There is no manual mapping screen to configure.
They are written as links to the uploaded files, separated by commas when a respondent uploads more than one. The file itself stays in Ovoform storage, and anyone with access to the sheet and the link can open it, so treat the sheet's sharing settings accordingly.
