Each completed response becomes one record in the base and table you choose. Partial, spam and over-limit responses are left out, so your table only holds submissions you can act on.

Pick which Airtable field receives each question. Text, numbers, dates, checkboxes, email, phone, URL and rating fields work, as do single select, multiple select and collaborator fields. Contact and address answers can be split into their own sub-fields.

Connecting does not have to mean starting from zero. Run a resync from the responses table and Ovoform sends earlier responses to Airtable, oldest first, up to 5,000 per run.
How the Airtable connection works

Connect your Airtable account
Sign in to Airtable and approve access. Ovoform asks to read and write records and to read your base schema, and nothing else.

Choose the base and table
Select the base and the table that should receive responses. Every completed submission is written to that table.

Map questions to fields
Match each form question to an Airtable field. Ovoform flags questions that have no mapping yet, so a question you add later does not quietly go missing.

Submit a test and resync if needed
Send a test response and watch the record appear. If you already have responses, run a resync to bring them across.

Sync is event-driven, not scheduled. When a respondent submits, Ovoform saves the response first and hands the Airtable write to a background queue, so the respondent never waits on Airtable. Records normally appear within moments, but there is no fixed latency guarantee. If Airtable rejects or times out a write, Ovoform retries twice with growing delays, roughly one minute and then three minutes later, before it gives up and flags the integration.
Each response creates a new record. Ovoform does not update or de-duplicate existing records, and edits you make in Airtable are not sent back to Ovoform. Airtable columns are matched by name. If you rename or delete a mapped field in Airtable, that answer is skipped and the rest of the record is still written, so update the mapping after changing your table. If none of the mapped fields can be written, the sync fails and the integration shows an error. For select fields, the choice must already exist in Airtable, otherwise that one field is skipped.
Some Airtable field types are not supported. Linked-record fields are not available as a mapping target, and computed fields such as formulas, rollups, lookups and auto-numbers are read-only in Airtable, so Ovoform cannot write to them. A workable pattern is to map an answer into a text or select field and link it inside Airtable. One connection writes to one table, and every response goes there: Ovoform does not route individual responses to different tables based on an answer.
Attachments are sent as file links, so Airtable must be able to fetch each file when the record is created. If your Airtable authorization is revoked, the integration is marked as revoked and syncing stops until you reconnect.

Ovoform is free to start, with unlimited forms and responses on every plan, and you can build and publish forms without paying. The native Airtable integration is part of the Business and Enterprise plans. On the Airtable side, you only need an account that can access the base you want to write to.
Attachments, yes: file-upload answers are sent to an Airtable attachment field. Linked-record fields are not supported yet, because they need Airtable record IDs. Map the answer to a text or select field instead and link the records inside Airtable.
It is event-driven. Each completed submission triggers a write to Airtable through a background queue, so records usually arrive within moments and nothing waits for a scheduled run. Failed writes are retried twice before the integration is flagged, and you can resync any responses that did not arrive.
Each Airtable connection writes every response to a single table. Ovoform does not route individual responses to different tables based on what someone answered. Conditions are available in Ovoform workflows for actions such as email, Slack and webhooks, but not for the Airtable connection.
Ovoform matches columns by name, so when a mapped field is deleted or renamed, that answer is skipped and the other fields are still written to the record. Update the mapping to point at the new field. If no mapped field can be written at all, the sync fails and the integration shows an error status.
